Nigerian humanitarian and philanthropist, Patience Key has her eyes on becoming the president of Nigeria come 2023.
The former chairman Board of Directors of Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Americas, USA paid a visit to the People’s Redemption Party Secretariat in Abuja on Monday 22nd of November to seek the party’s nomination to contest for presidency.
The aspirant, who has been working with Nigerians in Diaspora for over 15 years, used the occasion of her visit to express her ambition and reasons for joining the presidential race.
She explained that she decided to get on board so as to impact people and found the PRP a worthy platform through which she could actualize her vision.
Key added that the PRP is the only party whose manifesto marches her targeted programmes which includes promoting the welfare of the masses, boosting Nigeria’s economy, providing quality education and infrastructural development amongst others.
The PRP National Chairman, Alhaji Falalu Bello, OFR welcomed the aspirant with her entourage. He highlighted the historical and ideological background of the party since inception.
While thanking them for that, he gave assurance that PRP will provide a level playing field for all aspirants.
Other PRP executives at the meeting were the party’s National Secretary, Comrade Babatunde Alli, National Organizing Secretary, Alh. Sule Muhammed, National Youth Leader, Comrade Jide Wolimoh and National Women Leader, Hajiya Hafsat Umar.
The meeting with the PRP executive is officially the first activity in the Patience Key for President campaign. Other events this week are:
1 *Tuesday:* 23rd Nov – Community Reunion Ceremony by 4:00pm @ Eguare Primary School, Irrua, Edo State.
- *Wednesday:* 24th Nov. by 12:00noon – Community Reunion Ceremony/Familiarization Tour @ National Museum Hall, Asaba, Delta State.
